Rector tasks new degree students on adherence to institution’s laws

Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Dr. Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi has asked the newly admitted students of the polytechnic’s degree programs to strictly follow the rules and regulations governing all activities in the institution.

The Rector, who was represented by the Deputy Rector (Administration), Dr. Sani Man-Yahaya, made the remarks today during the matriculation and orientation ceremony held at the school’s auditorium for students admitted to run degree programs in affiliation with the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUT).

He further advised the new students to assiduously work hard for attainment of greater heights adding that all students must refrain from all forms of social ills in the society for good learning to take place.

Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Minna, Professor Abdullahi Bala, represented by the Director, Collaboration, Affiliation and Linkages, Professor Johnson Segun Oyero, said the students must obey the laws of the Federal University of Technology Minna and that of the Federal Polytechnic Bida so as to drive their academic pursuits seemlessly.

While speaking to journalists, the Director, University Affiliation, Federal Polytechnic Bida, Dr. Koce Henry Diko said the Polytechnic was proactive in building a better future for Nigerian students.

The polytechnic currently runs degree programs in the departments of Building and Technology, Electrical and Electronics and Quantity Surveying all in affiliation with the Federal University of Technology Minna.
