Senator Shehu Buba (APC, Bauchi South) has provided scholarships to 401 students for various academic disciplines.
Buba disclosed this at Malikiya College of Health and Social Sciences Bauchi on Wednesday while presenting an additional N20,000 to each of the beneficiaries to boost their morale for their academic activities.
Represented by one of his aides, Sabo Muhammad, the senator emphasised that “The education and the health sector, in Bauchi State needs improvement.
“These areas, are lagging, especially considering the high number of out-of-school children.”

According to Buba, a reasonable number of the beneficiaries are from the southern zone of the state, and some are from both the central and northern zones.
He added that he will continue to support people in various aspects of life to improve their well-being, highlighting the need for continued support for him in his political career.
On his part, the Chief Proprietor of Malikiya College of Health and Social Sciences, Aminu Muhammad, represented by Malam Audi, appreciated the senator for the scholarship, describing it as a remarkable effort benefiting a significant number of students.
Some of the beneficiaries of the programme, Hafsat Yusuf and Abubakar Muhammad, thanked Buba for the gesture.
They said the scholarship would make them focus on their studies rather than thinking about how to source funds for their registration.
