The leader of Qadiriyya Movement in Africa, Sheikh Qaribullah Nasiru Kabara has said that he is in possession of a hair strand of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
In an interview with the BBC Hausa, Sheikh Qaribullah said that singular possession is what gives him the most joy in the whole world, adding that the hair was given to him by a popular scholar from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who visited him in Kano.
Sheikh Qaribullah spoke about the issue when asked by the BBC about the thing that gives him the most joy, adding that it was linked to a dream he had about 10 years ago.
“I once had a dream that a great scholar, among our scholars, gave me a golden knife on my right hand, while another great scholar gave me another knife. I could not forget about that dream up to the time I had an experience nine years ago.
“The Almighty Allah brought a great man from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by the name As-Sheikh Ahmadul Khadraji. The man’s family is famous for being in possession of the prophet’s hair.
“That is since the time if his great grandparents, because anytime the prophet had a haircut, he used to share it among his companions. Some will have many, others little.
“And the hair of the prophet is so blessed that it remained fresh no matter how long it was kept. Even recently, I heard on a programme the BBC did on some of the property of the prophet found in Turkey, nothing happened to them,” he said.
He added that it was the dream he had that Almighty Allah brought someone who inherited the hair to give me a strand of it, which he put in a special container which is made up of gold. Another strand is kept in a silver container.
“He put one in the gold container and another in silver container and brought it to me as gift during the Qadiriyya Maulud.
“I just can’t get over this. Those knives I was given in dream happened to be the containers holding the hair strands of the prophet,” the Qadiriyya leader said.
