The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D has empowered some of his constituents in Zaria Federal Constituency with tractors for farming, tricycles and motorcycles.
The Speaker Abbas also provided full sponsorship for 46 people from the constituency to perform the lesser Hajj (Umrah).
At the event, held in Zaria on Sunday, a total of eight tractors with complete implements such as tipping bodies, harrows, ploughs and ridgers were distributed to beneficiaries.
A total of 79 tricycles popularly known as Keke NAPEP and 50 motorcycles were distributed to selected constituents. This is part of the Speaker’s efforts at empowering his constituents to be self-reliant.
