Luis Suarez is reportedly looking to gain Italian citizenship ahead of a move to Juventus.
The striker has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants as he nears the exit door at the Camp Nou.
According to Polideportivo, the 33-year-old will sit an exam in Barcelona on Monday in order to acquire Italian citizenship.
Having an Italian passport will mean that Suarez won’t take up a foreign place in the Juventus squad this season.
Although he’s agreed on a two-year deal worth 10 million euros after tax per season in Turin, the forward still needs to finalise a departure from Barcelona.
The Catalan club don’t want to lose Suarez, who has one year left on his contract there plus the option of a further year, for nothing this summer.
Barcelona also want to insert a series of variables in Suarez’s Juventus transfer which mean they would receive bonus payments based on the Bianconeri’s performance this season.
