Tinubu appoints 12 consuls-general, five chargè d’ affairs for 14 countries

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of 12 consuls-general and five chargè d’ affairs for 14 countries.

This is contained in a statement by the Special Assistant on Media and Communications Strategy to Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, Alkasim Abdulkadir, on Tuesday.

The minister charged the new appointees to be good ambassadors of Nigeria, adding that as seasoned career diplomats, they should shun the act of politicking and recommit themselves to their calling of diplomacy for the collective interest and development of Nigeria.

The new appointees are to resume immediately.
