Tozali TV has announced the 2026 edition of the Henna Ball & Tozali People’s Awards, scheduled to hold on 31 October 2026 at the Los Angeles Event Centre in Abuja.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, 8th August 2026, the media organisation said the event themed “Empowering Survivors. Restoring Hope.” will celebrate excellence, culture, resilience, and humanitarian impact.
According to Tozali TV, the awards will bring together government leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, entertainers, philanthropists, community leaders and change-makers to honour individuals and organisations whose contributions continue to shape Nigeria positively.
The event will recognize outstanding achievements in areas including hard work and dedication, resilience and perseverance, impactful change and innovation, and talent and excellence, while also spotlighting unsung heroes making a difference in their communities.
Beyond glamour and recognition, the Henna Ball 2026 will have a humanitarian purpose. The organisers said the event seeks to raise awareness and support for the rehabilitation and empowerment of female survivors affected by kidnapping, banditry, and Boko Haram insurgency.
This will be done in collaboration with the Tozali Girl Child and Women Foundation and other partners.
Speaking on the vision behind the event, Maimuna Yaya Abubakar said:
“The Henna Ball & Tozali People’s Awards is more than a celebration; it is a platform to honour courage, amplify positive stories, and remind survivors that their lives and dreams matter. Through this initiative, we aim to bring together communities, leaders, and organisations to empower survivors and restore hope.”
The 2026 edition will also showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, fashion, entertainment, and creative excellence, and provide a platform for collaboration among stakeholders in government, business, media, arts, and the humanitarian sector.
