Tunji Bello takes charge at FCCPC

Mr. Tunji Bello, on Thursday, officially assumed his role as the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

Bello, a former Secretary to the Lagos State Government and Commissioner for Environment, had also served in various editorial positions at Concord Newspapers and THISDAY Newspapers.

Mr. Bello, who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in June this year, brings a wealth of experience to the FCCPC, and we are confident he will be a strong advocate for fair competition and consumer protection in Nigeria.

He was welcomed to the Commission by Dr. Adamu Abdullahi, Executive Commissioner Operations, and Mr. Kola Alabi, Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services. Dr. Abdullahi served as the Commission’s chief executive in an acting capacity until Mr. Bello resumed.

Before settling into his office, Mr. Bello went round the Commission to familiarise himself with the staff.
