Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, on Wednesday, commissioned the remodelled, upgraded and fully equipped Dabo Mohammed Lere Memorial Hospital, Saminaka, Lere Local Government.
Speaking at the event, the governor said “We inherited a healthcare sector that was in a sorry state. We are therefore carrying out a surgical operation to deliver to our people a healthcare system that addresses the needs of the citizens in the three levels of healthcare delivery.
“Our vision is structured around five strategic objectives: enhancing health infrastructure, improving service delivery, strengthening human resources for health, ensuring the availability of essential medicines, and increasing sustainable health financing.
“We are focused on creating a system that delivers accessible, affordable and high quality healthcare for all. We have embarked on the remodelling, equipping and upgrading of 13 General Hospitals in the three Senatorial Zones of the State.
“Those named below which will be completed and commissioned in a few weeks are in Phase 1, Phase 2 of the project will involve additional 13 General Hospitals.

- General Hospital Kawo, Kaduna North
- General Hospital Kaura, Kaura LGA
