The patrol operations will run on shift basis to guarantee 24-hour coverage of major highways, while night rescue teams have equally been positioned at designated operational commands across the country.

Among the major corridors earmarked for intensive patrol and traffic management are the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano corridor, Akwanga–Lafia–Makurdi route, Kaduna–Saminaka–Jos highway, Ibadan–Ogere–Sagamu road, Sagamu–Mowe–Lagos expressway, Makurdi–Otukpo–9th Mile corridor, Asaba–Abraka–Ughelli–Warri axis, Okene–Ogori–Owo route, as well as several other identified traffic-prone corridors nationwide.

Just as obtained in other critical operations, the Corps will continue to collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, military formations, emergency medical service providers, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen traffic management and emergency response mechanisms throughout the festive period.
