The Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a travel advisory to motorists ahead of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, warning of heavy traffic along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Command said the Kara–OPIC axis and adjoining corridors are currently experiencing high traffic volume as Nigerians begin travelling for the holiday.
Motorists have been urged to exercise patience, drive cautiously, and comply strictly with traffic regulations to prevent crashes and delays.
The FRSC advised drivers to consider alternative routes, including the Lekki–Epe Expressway and Ikorodu–Sagamu Road, where necessary.
The Corps also warned against speeding, dangerous overtaking, one-way driving, and other violations that could endanger lives and worsen congestion on the busy highway.
