SNB appoints Ahmed Balarabe Sa’id as Kaduna coordinator

The Society for Nigerian Broadcasters, SNB, has appointed Ahmed Balarabe Sa’id as its new Kaduna State Coordinator.

The appointment was announced by the North West Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Saidu Ado Warawa, on behalf of the national leadership of the Society.

Sa’id replaces Farida Abubakar, who vacated the position following her elevation to National Treasurer of the SNB.

Warawa described Sa’id’s nomination as well-deserved, saying it reflects his standing as a consummate practitioner with vast industry experience.

Sa’id, a recipient of the Nigerian Television Authority Prize for the Overall Best Graduating Student in Mass Communication at Bayero University, Kano, is currently a lecturer at Kaduna Polytechnic.

His professional trajectory spans print, broadcast media and public relations. He had served as Reporter, Bureau Chief, Assistant Editor and Managing Editor at The Market Magazine. In broadcast, he freelanced as Assistant Producer and Presenter during his undergraduate studies and later served as News Editor at Independent Television, Abuja, before joining academia where he pioneered Kaduna Polytechnic Campus Radio, Spider FM, as its first Manager.

He also served as Capacity Building Team Lead for a World Bank Radio Adoption Project aimed at supporting irrigation farmers.

A renowned Public Relations practitioner, former NIPR Study Center Coordinator and State Secretary, Sa’id is the author of ‘Aren’t We All PR People?’ and serves as Faculty Head of the Kaduna Media Academy, a private media training initiative.

In a statement signed by the State Secretary, SNB Kaduna, Babangida Aliyu Abdullahi, the Society expressed confidence that his appointment will further strengthen its presence and activities in the state.
