Today, our nation mourns a rare gem. The passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi is a huge loss to the Muslim Ummah and to Nigeria as a whole.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi lived a truly purposeful life – nearly 10 decades devoted to Islamic knowledge, peacebuilding, moral guidance, and unity. He was a bridge-builder, a voice of moderation, and an icon whose influence reached far beyond our borders. His kindness, integrity, humility, and wisdom shaped generations.
My prayers are with his family, his followers, the Tijjaniya community, and the entire Muslim Ummah. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give us the strength to bear this great loss.
