The former Governor of Sokoto State also said more needy persons should be assisted, with a view to bolstering socioeconomic development of the state and Nigeria in general.

According to Wamakko, such asisstance had multiplier effects in the society and the country in general. He reiterated that APC was fully committed to further uplifting the living standard of the masses.

He said this can best be corroborated by the myriad of interventions initiated by the Federal Government since 2015.

Wamako recalled that millions of less privileged Nigerians had benefitted from such numerous gestures, including no fewer than 500,000.

He assured that the APC-led Federal Government would not rest on its oars until all needy persons in the country were empowered.

Also speaking, the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida, lauded Rep Kalambaina for the gesture and urged other elected officials in the state to emulate him.

Achida also appealed to the Sokoto State Government to ensure the financial autonomy of the local governments in the state to enable them provide dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

He regretted that the local governments in the state had not been able to provide such dividends of democracy to the people since 2015, as they lacked the wherewithal.

The donor Rep Kalambaina said the gesture, the third in it’s series in the last three months, was aimed at further alleviating the suffering of his constituents.

According to him, more of such empowerment schemes and an array of constituency projects were in the pipeline for the constituents.
