The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, has congratulated Alhaja Lateefat Olufunke Gbajabiamila, mother of the immediate past Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, who clocked 95 on Sunday.
Speaker Abbas hailed Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila for her successes in politics and business, and her philanthropic gestures too numerous to mention. He noted that part of her success is his predecessor, Femi, who is now the Chief of Staff to the President.
The Speaker said Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila is not only a community leader but also a mobilizer among women in Islam.
While saying ex-Speaker Gbajabiamila is lucky to have Alhaja Lateefat as his mother, Speaker Abbas noted that the nonagenarian has been playing a motherly role in the lives of many.
The Speaker prayed to Allah (SWT) to grant Alhaja Lateefat Gbajabiamila more years on earth, in good health and sound mind. He said the country still needs virtuous, dogged, and exemplary women like her.
Signed:
