Dickson, Peter Obi resolve differences after three-hour meeting, declare NDC unity

Senator Henry Seriake Dickson has announced that all internal issues within the party have been “amicably resolved” following a closed-door meeting with the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Peter Obi.

In a statement issued on Democracy Day, Dickson disclosed that he hosted Obi and other distinguished party leaders for a meeting that lasted about three hours.

“During the course of that meeting, we reviewed the activities of our party and discussed a few recent issues that have been a source of concern to all sides, and we amicably resolved all the issues,” he said.

Dickson stressed that the party leadership remains united on its core objective. “We have always been on the same page on the bigger picture, i.e., winning the elections for all candidates of our party and rescuing Nigeria from the misgovernance of the APC-led government,” he stated.

The former Bayelsa governor used the opportunity to call for discipline among members. He urged all party faithful to “stop the bickering and name-calling and focus on the bigger picture.”

He further assured that he, Obi, and other stakeholders will continue to consult and engage to address concerns, strengthen unity and cohesion, and keep the party focused on its “shared mission of rescuing Nigeria and building a better future for all.”
