Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on Saturday attended the wedding fatiha of Affan Buba Abuya, Personal Assistant to Minister of Communications and Digital Economy and his bride, Hauwa’u Abubakar Minangi.
The wedding solemnisation was conducted at the Jam’atu Izalatil bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) Juma’at Mosque, also known as Masallacin Shagon Goro in Gombe.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya stood in as Wakil (representative) for the groom while Alhaji Muhammad Gidado served as Waliy for the bride, Hauwa’u Abubakar.
The marriage was contracted upon the payment of N200, 000 as dowry through the groom’s Wakil, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the acknowledgment of same by the bride’s Waliy.
The chief Imam of the Izala Juma’at Mosque, Imam Sa’idu Muhammad Rabi’u, who conducted the rites, led a special prayer session for marital bliss and Allah’s blessings upon the new couple.
Governor Inuwa also attended the wedding fatiha of the first daughter of Mohammed Adamu Abubakar (Damori), Aisha Nana Mohammed held at Kumbiya-Kumbiya Mosque.
The governor was accompanied to the two events by the Deputy Governor, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, SSG, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Chief of Staff, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Commissioners and other government functionaries and associates, including Alhaji Buba Sharu.
