Presidential aide Gambo Manzo weds in Gombe

  • Gombe governor Inuwa Yahaya represents groom, receives bride on his behalf

A Presidential aide Gombe, Hon. Gambo Manzo has tied the knot to his heartthrob at a ceremony held at the palace of Emir of Akko in Kumo, Gombe State.

Gambo Manzo is a Special Assistant on Political Affairs to President Muhammadu Buhari, serving in the office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State led digniteries, including former Governor of Kano State, Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau and top government functionaries to the wedding fatiha.

The governor also stood in as Wakil (representative) for Gambo Manzo, who is an illustrious son of Gombe State and received Fatima Abubakar Shehu on his behalf.

The sum of 100, 000 naira was announced as the dowry and the marriage was contracted by the Chief Imam of Kumo Imam Musa Mohammed and witnessed by many friends, associates and family members.

Special prayers were offered for Allah’s blessings upon the new couple.

After the wedding rites, Governor Inuwa Yahaya also witnessed the turbaning of Hon. Gambo Manzo as the Dujima of Akko by the Emir of Akko,Alhaji Muhammad Umar Atiku.

High profile dignitaries from within and outside Gombe State, including members of House of Representatives, Speaker and members of Gombe State State House of Assembly, Chief of Staff Government House Gombe, Presidential Aides, Hon. Commissioners, Special Advisers, Chairman of Akko Local Government Area, Emirs and Chiefs among others also witnessed the event.
